The People / The Scene / The Life / The Soul : A Global Compilation
While some may argue otherwise, community is a phenomenon which expresses itself in rather odd ways; that is to say, at least through the internet. Keeping this simple albeit all too frequent truth in mind, it is terrifically rare to come across networked participants that share the same passion and forthright love for music (or for that matter, any genre of art) that you, yourself also attempt to adequately project and express through your very own infinitesimally small site floating throughout the titanic ether that make up said inter-webs on a day to day basis. That being said, the more than good, borderline angelic individuals that compromise Generic People, The Leaving Scene, The Soul Electronic and our lowly selves decided a few months back to collaborate on a compilation of 16 tracks that represent what we as a collective are attempting to perpetuate through our own respective blogs regularly.
This compilation serves as not only a platform for both incredible and free music, but also as a reaffirmation and a weapon of agency against the pull of non-communal values. This is us, we are nothing without each other, and through this we speak. We are The People / The Scene / The Life / The Soul.
